MARIPOSA PARK
The Metropolitan Government of Nashville-Davidson County is addressing the need for open space in the southeastern part of the county by purchasing a 10-acre property. This new park will provide permanent open space and aligns with Metro Park’s goal of serving underserved areas. Located between Tusculum Road and Bart Drive, the site offers a unique landscape with old trees, some possibly over 150 years old. The first step in development is creating a master plan, emphasizing long-term vision, recreational amenities, and environmental preservation. The plan will adhere to countywide park system goals and incorporate input from the local community through three rounds of public engagement, aligning with the 2017 Plan to Play parks and greenways master plan.
