In 2022, Mayor John Cooper unveiled an ambitious economic growth plan for Nashville, aiming to benefit all residents. With the collaboration of five Action Committees comprising over 50 members from various sectors, the plan will address inclusive economic growth, accommodating the city’s increasingly diverse communities and fostering a resilient economy where everyone can thrive. The process involves identifying key opportunities and challenges, building consensus, and crafting an equitable economic development strategy. The objective is to create a practical and implementable plan for balanced, strategic growth, ensuring prosperity for all Nashvillians.
